::on our way::

So, we're about six months behind where I thought we'd be in January, but whatever--we mailed our adoption application today!! 
It's been a weird path to get us to here, but we are still adopting from Ethiopia and we are now going through Holt International. 
We're excited.  :)

As Isaiah and I walked into the post office this afternoon, I told him we were mailing our adoption application so we could bring him home a brother (or sister, but I'm fully expecting a boy).  He said he'd like a brother and he'd like to name him "Brudder."  That works for me.  Well, as a nickname anyway.  :) 

We've got a loonnnnngggg journey ahead of us, but I'm thrilled to know we are not alone in this.  Literally!  Some dear, dear friends from church will be mailing their application tomorrow--also for the Ethiopia program!!  Same agency, same program...how cool would it be to end up traveling together?!   I love that in our small church, there are already two adopted kiddos running around, and that we will soon add MORE!   I'm loving that our pale color palette at church is darkening up a bit, too.  :)  

Hopefully we'll have some more blog updates since the adoption plan is finally in the works.
