Well...
I keep getting lots of questions about where we are in our adoption process. Understandably so since I've been so quiet here about the subject. I've been purposely vague, I guess, because I'm not sure how to explain without telling you more than you really want to know. ;) I have trouble being too wordy.
So, to put it as succinctly as possible, we got into our process and realized that our agency was going to require quite a large portion of our adoption fees up front. We were surprised by the fee schedule, among other things, and we quickly learned that international adoption is very different from domestic adoption. We waited and prayed for a few weeks, and when our deadline came and went, we felt it was time to take a step back and assess how we are going to approach the financial side of our adoption, since it seems to be very different than our process of adopting Isaiah. It's definitely doable, but it's also something we have to work out and pray through. No worries!
So....we are kind of back to square one, logistically speaking, and we are even considering another agency. Hopefully we can make some steps soon!
We are still committed to adopting from Ethiopia, though--even with the new protocol on the Ethiopian end of things. We know we may have to wait, but that's okay. :)

In other news, we are enjoying our almost-3-year-old. He is growing so quickly. It's so hard to believe he used to look like this:
And now, he looks like this.
He is such a ham. :)
My talented sister took some beautiful family pics of the three of us, so I hope to get my hands on those soon.
This one is not one of her beautiful pictures, but it's still fun.
Can't wait to add another face to this picture. :)
